Dear Affiliates and Listeners.
First,
many many thanks to all of you for carrying my programs on your radio
and internet stations. Words cannot express my unending gratitude to you
all.
I look forward to continuing to serve you in 2016.
For now, though, I must inform you that QRP is in hiatus for the rest of
December. The reason? I have told you all about my new internet radio
project called Global Community Radio. I am taking the next few weeks
off of producing shows so that I can finish building the programming
logs for the new internet service. As there is only one of me, and as I
am visually impaired, it will take me longer than most people to
complete this task, but, to me, it is a task worth completing. Once I
get all of the logs built, and once I get Global Community Radio up and
going by the end of the month, then I will resume production of all six
shows for the new year.
I know that some of you only
recently signed on with my shows, so please be assured that will NOT be a
regular occurrence. In January I will resume weekly show production.
But, as I really want to see this new internet station thrive, I must
take this break to make it happen.
You have several options open to you for the rest of the month.
Everyone
is welcome to download old shows from the blog/website. There are a
total of 56 shows available in all six series. All shows are evergreen,
and there are no references to date or time.
IF YOU USE DROPBOX OR RSS
I
will supply you with old shows in the Dropbox folder(s) and on the RSS
feed so that you will not be repeating the same show every week. If
there are any specific shows you would like to re-air on your station,
please let me know. Otherwise, I'll supply you with shows of my own
choosing.
SPECIAL UPSTATE RADIO THEATRE SHOWS AVAILABLE
While
I am not able to produce new shows for the rest of the year, I was able
to find someone to produce new Upstate Radio Theatre programs in my
absence. His name is Jeremy Hanlon, and he is an OTR buff as I am. He
has a knowledge of OTR that is equal to my own, and he has a background
in radio as I do. He is very capable, and, he volunteered to be a guest
host for the next few weeks. I will post those shows to my blog, and to
Dropbox and RSS feed. If you would rather not air any Upstate shows that
are not hosted by me, then you will need to grab old shows from the
blog archive. I hope you will give Mr. Hanlon a chance on your station.
If you want to contact him directly, the email is radionewsnow@ymail.com
Again,
my thanks for your patience and understanding. At this time, I want to
wish you and yours a Happy Holiday Season. I am looking forward to
bigger and better things in '16, and I want all of you to be along for
the journey!
I will still check emails during the break. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
Talk to you Next Year!
